Went to Indianapolis yesterday for a Smash Tournament. Placed 4th. It was fun.

I get on at around 1:24:32 and stay on for that match and the next (Loser's Quarters and Loser's Semis)

You can tell Cloud has home field advantage by listening to the commentary.
I play Eseif the next game (a guy I play with a lot).

Tournament Round up:

Game 1: Cantus (Sheik) vs. Ben (Sheik)
A guy also from back home. Good ground game, very shaky follow ups and recovery. Beat him no problem in the mirror.

Game 2: Cantus (Sheik/Marth) vs. Carwile (Jigglypuff)
A very scary match. I came in not knowing what to expect. I played Sheik the first game and couldn't figure out how to combo him.

He banned Yoshi's, so I wanted the runback at FoD, switched to Marth, and just spaced him.

Banned Dream Land, so we went to Battlefield. Mostly the same thing as the last time

Game 3: Cantus (Marth) vs. RoBoat (Puff)
Another Puff match. Scary as well. I won the first match on Battlefield, but lost the second on the second round due to over aggression. I believe he banned FoD, so I took him to Yoshi's.I was losing, but I did a forward throw and threw out a forward smash. No DI or the Forward Throw, so the Forward Smash Tipper'd. Unfortunately for him, he DI'd it away and died at 30%. Ended up winning due to him doing too many panic rests.

Game 4: Cantus (Sheik/Fox) vs. Jbro (Sheik) [Winner's Semi's]
Jbro was a strong player, ended up taking 2nd overall. We did a Sheik ditto on Yoshi's and I got 3 stocked. Not confident in my Sheik, I switched to my Fox and we went to Dream Land. I did a lot of Waveshines, but unfortunately, I couldn't capitalize. I ended up losing 3-0, but I wasn't upset. Knew he was better than me.

Game 5: Cantus (Sheik) vs. Cloud (Marth) [Loser's Quarters]
Cloud (as seen in the video) is a very aggressive Marth player, and I was less than used to that. Lost first game due to trying to finish it early, but gathered myself and beat him semi-easily the next two games. Real exciting games.

Game 6: Cantus (Sheik/Roy) vs. Eseif (Fox) [Loser's Semi's]
Eseif started about the same time I did, but I believe he overall is a better competitive gamer than I. I told him going I was gonna break out the Roy as soon as I lost. I love Roy in Melee, but not so much in Project M. He beat me pretty solid. Was fun though.

Overall, I had a lot of fun, but I'd like to be able to do better in Project M. I really wanted to do Wolf combos, but kept going too hard and lost. Oh well.

You may be able to. I haven't really figured out SDI. I'm still at trying to get Wave Dash out of Shield into my game :lol:

Ok, I have decided to start going to more tournaments. I don't know if it is a good thing or a bad thing that there are so many pros in my area, but I think I can find some mid level tourneys.

Because if they are going to hold a Smash Tourney during E3 (June) then they will probably have it out by then... maybe.

You can do that in Melee

SDI-ing out of Fox's U-air has been common (albeit difficult to consistently do) technology for years lol.

By testing I mean I need to get the timing down. I have done it before multiple times but haven't found the proper timing
