The Sims for Gamecube-controller question

Okay so, i ordered The Sims (2003) for gamecube. I am supposed to be able to play this on my Wii, with a gamecube memory card. My question is though, for this particular game, will i need to buy a gamecube controller or will my Wii classic controller be enough? Just wondering, since i already have the classic controller. Thanks.

You have to use a Gamecube controller. Wii controllers don't work with Gamecube games.
