later in the game an old women shows you the relics and tells you about the 3 lake pokemon, then after that she will show you a picture of either palkia or dialga depending on the game that you have.

yep those 3, and the first legend you catch is either dialga or palkia, and i would advise trying to catch the pokemon in something other than a masterball cause people tend to think its hacked if its in a masterball.

did you choose the fire monkey? if you did you should have no problem cause steel pokemon have a x4 weakness to fire atks.

pretty much, it would also be good to have another fire pokemon with you as back up just in case.

I got some ground and fighting so they can back me up as they are also powerful over steel.

I have Rioule but I just cant be bothered keeping him in my party at the moment, I am moving on in the game and I am not going back to train pokemon back up unless I need them.
