... ... ... My memory is comically bad at times. Sorry. .________.;

I'll give ya Skarmory and Lucario.

Alright I found my charger for my ds light and my less well hidden ds, so I will start playing soon :) I'll edit the first update in in a few hours

For the Challenge I give you Durrant and Magnezone

Harmonia Challenge Soulsilver, Update#1
Started with Cyndaquill and catched a Geodude, because I wanted to use it for the first gym. I also catched Sentret and Bellsprout, because this is the only place to get them (I think). I trained Geodude a bit and then went to the Bellsprout Tower where I used Geodude until it learned Rockthrow and then used Cyndaquill for everything but the Hoothoot of the eldest. Geodude also took care of the gym leaders Pidgey, but because Roost turns Pidgeotto into a ??? type and I took one Sand Attack it wore out almost all the Rockthrow pp and I chaged to Cyndaquill until it fainted and then finally defeated it with Rockthrow again.

Feedback:
So far it felt like a normal playthrough other than having to catch 2 u.seless Pokemon, but having to think of what is about to come for rest of the gym leaders, Kimono Girls, and Elite4 I think that this will be a lot of grinding

Harmonia Challenge Soulsilver, Update#2
I caught a Mareep, an Ekans, a HopHip, and a Zubat, but I'm only using Mareep. After I grinded my level to 10 so that Mareep has Thundershock. I defeated all the trainers including the Magikarp trainer with his useless Splashes >:D, but I avoided the hikers in the cave and the Wooper guy. Mareep evolved into Waaty int the cave and I defeated the rival and the gym leader with Thundershock. I paralyzed Scyther and then it died after it used Leer and Focus Energy and it got paralyzed once. Now I have to catch another Pokemon, but can I do that in the Ilex Forest? It is accesable before you get the badge, but it is part of the story on the way to the next gym.

Feedback: I still have the same feeling about it. The grinding is a little bit annoying, but not so bad yet. It is kinda fun that you have to think of where you can get each Pokemon to decide if you already need it or if you should catch it just because it won't be anywhere else

And in HG/SS/G/S the Pokemon after you defeated the elite 4 are extremly low leve compared to what you need... I can't defeat Blue with a lvl 5 Ratata and I wouldn't be able to catch it, because all the regions are accesable before you even have the chance to fight him, so you'll need extra rules for that like the challenge ending after the League or that you get to keep your team

Harmonia Challenge Rules said:
4. After beating a gym leader, you may NOT catch Pokemon in ANY location you have traveled through prior to arriving at that gym's city for the first time.

As the underlined text denotes, Pokemon in Ilex Forest can be caught both before and after obtaining the Hive Badge. If ya catch a Poke there before obtaining the badge, you can still catch more there after gettin' the badge.

Rulings like that are exactly why I needed t' do a test run of every region... completely forgot how incompatible the rules are when it's time for GSC/HGSS to go int' Kanto. I'll probably make a clause where you're required to make one final new team, but ya don't need t' abide to rule 4 for the rest of the Challenge.

Well, you'd be the first t' complete a Challenge on a console Pokegame, so I'd say go for it.

S'pose that means I need t' create rules regarding Shadow Pokemon... blehhhhhhh moar technicalities

HARMONIA CHALLENNGE UPDATE

I did this section of the challenge a while ago and consequently, I don't remember all the details. But here is the basic outline:
I caught Electrike, Swalot and Oddish before my battle with May and trained them all up to ~level 20 and beat her really easily. On the way to Wattson, I also caught a Roselia. Oddish also evolved into Gloom. I bought 6 X Specials and used them all on Gloom in the battle against Wattson. Even after those boosts, Magnemite and Magneton still took ~3 or 4 hits
My pokemon against Flannery were Geodude (which I evolved into Graveller), Numel, Sandsrew and Grimer. Needless to say, any water type screwed me over because Grimer wasn't very strong. But Flannery was really easy to beat.

FEEDBACK
What happens if you fail to catch the first pokemon you encounter? Do you lose the chance to ever use that pokemon? Or does something else happen?
Apart from that question, nothing else came to mind while playing this segment

If ya fail to catch a 'mon during a Harmonia Challenge, there's no penalty what-so-ever. Ya can still attempt t' catch that species again. If ya fail t' catch the first 'mon designated for your team, ... hmmmm. I think bein' forced to find and catch that same species would be appropriate. Prevents ya from cowerin' out of a weak 'mon if you get unlucky.

Updated Harmonia Challenge Ruleset

Updates to the rules are bolded.

1. After obtaining each badge, you MUST catch an entirely new team of four or more Pokemon. If that many new species can't be caught, catch as many as possible. You must release/permanently box your current team as soon as you catch the first Pokemon for your new team.

2. The first Pokemon encountered when it's time to make a new team MUST be caught and used. If you fail to catch that Pokemon, you MUST find another of the same species and catch it for your team prior to catching any other Pokemon.

3. If you catch a full team of six, you may NOT catch any more Pokemon until you obtain the next badge.

4. After beating a gym leader, you may NOT catch Pokemon in ANY location you have traveled through prior to arriving at that gym's city for the first time.

5. If you're playing a version which lets you battle Gym Leaders out of order, do NOT defeat them in the wrong order.

6. You may NOT obtain and hatch eggs. You may NOT conduct any trades, be it with another game or in-game.

7. Pokemon required to be boxed/released may NOT be kept and used as an HM slave. N does not approve of Pokemon slavery.

8. You may NOT use Revives in the middle of a battle. N would never repeatedly send his Pokemon to be knocked out.

9. The Harmonia Challenge may not be combined with the following for a Combined Challenge: Monotype, Scramble, or Single.

... Now, I know what y'all are thinkin': I have a (terrible) excuse for not bein' active. >_>; Been obsessed with the game Don't Starve lately. I'll get back to all'a my Challenges real soon.

I'll update my nuzlocke of soul silver on here.

Yeah, this thread is about Pokemon games, and only Pokemon games.

No one needs to know about your Action Replay.
