The "Official" Fire Emblem Thread

Fire Emblem Awakening could have been the last Fire Emblem game.

Truth be told, sales are dropping. The sales manager of Nintendo, Mr. Hatano, told us that this could be the last Fire Emblem. Due to this progressive descend on sales, they told us that if the sales of this episode stayed below 250,000 copies, we’d stop working on the saga. I remember when I came back from the meeting and told the team ‘My God, what are we gonna do?! The end has come!’. Our reaction was clear: if this was going to be the last Fire Emblem, we had to put everything we always wanted to include.

oh my

Bit of a Final Fantasy situation, eh? What could'a been the end only started a new beginnin' for the series.

oh noes

I sincerely enjoyed the Fire Emblem games that I've played, and hopefully they'll make more. It's rare to come across a good strategy game.

Now 'Karpmod, get Awakening or we'll never see another FE game ever again. ;__;

EDIT: Ninja'd........what the hell?

lol no. Strategy/Tactical games are one of the healthiest genres around. Off the top of my head I can think of the Advance Wars series, Super Robot Wars series, Devil Survivor 1 and 2, Infinite Space, and FF Tactics Advance. Those are just Ninty handhelds.

Ricken's birthday. Today is also one of my very good friends IRL birthday, not that I expect you guys to know him.

Chrom's birthday.

This reminds me, do these people actually get older?

If I hand Awakening down to my descendants and they play it 100 years from now, will Chrom still be alive?
