Super Smash Bros. 4

Nice. My 3DS friend code is 4742-4786-7576. You can add me in as this name, Groosin (my Wii U online name), or Ray (my real name and the one that shows up on Miiverse.) I have Mario Kart, Pokemon X, and Kid Icarus Uprising. Can't remember what else there is to play online aside from the obvious upcoming Smash Bros. I can sure think of quite a few games I own that SHOULD have had an online mode like Fire Emblem, Zelda, and Kingdom Hearts. Not even Kirby 3D is getting its Smash Bros. style mode online! Such a shame...

Added. I also have Uprising, along with Mario Tennis and Street Fighter. I'm excited for the Smash Bros. esque mode Kirby has (So I guess this makes the post kind of on topic?) where you get to fight others using copy abilities.

On a side note, I don't think being in the first Smash Bros. means that the character's going to be playable in any and all future installments. In other words, I don't think Jigglypuff, Captain Falcon and Ness have a 100% chance of being in the game, although I think it's very likely that the latter two will make it in. I think that would remove the surprises of characters being announced, and if they had a 100% chance to be in they would've been announced last E3 with the rest of the cast. Characters in Mario Kart get replaced (DK Jr. with DK), removed (Waluigi in 7) and return (Waluigi in 8) all the time, so I wouldn't be surprised if it were the same for this installment. Also seeing how characters in fighting games can easily be put away for balancing purposes (a la 90% of the cast of the original Street Fighter roster for completely new ones in Street Fighter 2, and then again for Street Fighter 3) I think it's certainly plausible.

Do you guys wanna add me on the Wii U? My NNID = NandoS
If you do, please let me know, cause I don't accept requests of people I don't seem to know.
Games I have that can be played online:
-Assassins Creed 3
-Assassins Creed 4
-Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist (Servers finally became decent like 2 weeks ago)
-Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (Which I'm playing a lot lately)
-Tekken Tag Tournament 2
-Call of Duty: Black Ops 2

And soon I'll be picking up Mario Kart 8 as well.

Sure why not
Uh I am too lazy to find everyones so if you don't mind reposting them

In other news the most recent Sakurai Miiverse pic: https://d3esbfg30x759i.cloudfront.net/ss/zlCfzRy6d3EdK-ZT0T

I don't think I remember the whole Final Destination Mode topic brought up here. I personally really like it! Especially since I already know I'll mainly be playing For Glory online.

I think it's awesome, but I think some people on here already discussed that having platforms is also part of tournaments.
And I agree with them, so even though I really like the final destination change, some characters can play very different with or without platforms. (Most likely Little Mac)

I also agree with that, but since Brawl online was almost ALWAYS played on Final Destination seeing as probably three out of four people would pick that stage and the last one would pick Battlefield, I'm just happy to have the variety.

Actually, Brawl online was almost always played on Temple (Melee), depending on who you were facing.

I don't know man, I must have just been lucky then. I mean I didn't play Brawl online that often for obvious reasons, but when I did play I always saw Final Destination or Battlefield.

I wonder if Timed Stock Matches can be a thing in For Glory
And Battlefield versions of stages

Those 2 things were exactly the things I was wondering about as well... I just hope you're right. Especially about the timed stocked matches.

My fav stages in Brawl for a 1v1: Final Destination, Battlefield, Halberd, Smashville, Frigate Orpheon, Yoshi's Island and sometimes Lylat Cruise.
Other stages I tried to 1v1, but were kinda annoying so I turned them off on random: Brinstar, Pokémon Stadium, Corneria, Skyworld and The Bridge of Eldin

When Sakurai was talking about For Glory he mentioned that you can play Stock Matches with friends. That's assuming that you can't in For Glory.
And I didn't see any Stocks in the For Glory gameplay.
