I reckon both companies knew that their characters were gettin' in, but kept it quiet as to not deflate a proper announcement of its hype 'n such. If Snake returns, I'd bet it's the same.

Well, while you people are bickering about Magikarp, here's some screenshots from this week.


A screenshot of the Tomodachi Collection stage with the Villager and Wii Fit Trainer. Tomodachi Collection is a game released previously in Japan where you raise Miis on a small island.


Sakurai also posted how the Mario 3D Land stage is gonna work. Seems to me like it's gonna be the replacement of the Mushroomy Kingdom from Brawl. At least this one looks more fun to play on.


We also have a screenshot of Diddy's new peanut pop gun. This one will apparently be able to break through shields, and have a massive damage output. The drawback is that it's apparently really hard to with this gun.


And finally, we have a picture of Rosalina lying on the ground. This one doesn't have much significance, but I might as well since she's one of my favorite Mario characters.

Another who's beaten Awakening 'fore I even played it. Great.

3D Land looks like somethin' taken straight outta SSE. Reckon it'd be fun t' play on for the lulz, whereas Mushroomy Kingdom was not.

If Diddy's Neutral-B does pack more of a punch, I can see it workin' like P:M's (gimp anyone recovering mid)... but it won't be breakin' shields lol. Even if it was more powerful than Shield Breaker, the charge on it is too long.
