Super Smash Bros. 4

No, but every company will pitch in. Sony will supply shitty characters no one cares about and Microsoft will oversee the on-disc DLC.

Lucario is like the most fitting Pokemon there could be in Smash. And he still has a very solid fanbase.

^ This.

It would be a mistake t' remove Lucario as it'd be both a disservice to Pokemon since he wholly deserves the character slot, and to his fanbase.

Number one problem that seems to be forgetten: Smash Bros isn't a Pokemon game.

Smash 4 will feature a Pokemon representative for the newer gens. Lucario is now outdated. I'd say the same would apply to other fighters such as Ike, possibly. I'm certain Mewtwo and Pichu have their own fanbases, but that certainly didn't mean anything when they kicked the bucket.

Or do you wish to supply some information I'm not aware of?

Pichu was removed for bein' a clone. Don't know why Mewtwo got the choppin' block, but so much as considerin' Mewtwo's return goes to show that Sakurai took note of the fans' outrage when Mewtwo was kicked out. If Sakurai respects Mewtwo's fanbase's cries, I can only imagine he wouldn't replace Lucario with the Gen 6 rep outta respect for Lucario's fanbase. That, and so he wouldn't commit the same mistake twice.

Furthermore, Lucario is still wholly valid in the realm of Pokemon. Despite bein' two and a half generations old (the half 'cause it was introduced prior to Generation 4), it's still constantly promoted by Game Freak in various roles 'n such. Go find my post detailin' all of that, as I can't be arsed to do it myself/Google all the information a second time.

That Allstars Battle Royale game is pretty fun

fix'd

Multiplayer makin' a game fun does not mean a game is good. PSAll Stars is ****.

Toon Link ain't going away. Nor Ganon. Or Falco( maybe Wolf?).

Being a clone most likely was a factor in Pichu's departure, but the catalyst was that he got axed for the next Gen available during Brawl's release. Pichu was Gen 2, which Melee was happily advertising. Unless my dates are screwed up and it was part of the Ruby/Sapphire age. Mewtwo was also popular, and again, axed for more up-to-date pokemon. And let's not forget Lucario's "similarities" to Mewtwo. I mistook him as a related to the Mew family back when he was new as a Brawler.

Lucario will not be returning as a fighter. It's as logical as DLC being evil.

Why does everyone hate on the games i like? And who is replacing lucario then, cuzz they better be worth kicking out a Fan Favorite...

My excuse is that PSAll Stars is very much an insult of a game t' anyone who expected a "party-fighter" on the level of Smash Bros.

Taking Wolf out, but TLink is guaranteed to stay? Now you're the one speakin' madness.

Melee was released only a single year 'fore Ruby and Sapphire. Pichu was obviously representative of Gen 2, but clearly a not-so-wanted addition. T'was a clone; a joke character too. Pichu was axed for bein' a shitty character, not just for bein' irrelevant. Is Lucario a clone and joke character with no notable fanbase? No.

Your reasoning behind Mewtwo's departure holds no merit 'til ya show a source. It could've been time restraints or worries that Mewtwo 'n Lucario would be notoriously known as clones... or the simple fact it was either Lucario or Mewtwo because of roster limitations.

If Pokemon characters always get the axe for newer and more relevant Pokes, Jiggles would've been booted in Brawl. We wouldn't of gotten Red and his Kanto starter Pokemon over a newer trainer.

Lastly, Lucario's relevance. Still a thing.

How many game's has Lucario had? Now compare it to Toon Link. Come on man, you're better than this. And I merely suggested a Star Fox character might get axed because I found it really strange they'd get another rep without a new game(?). Combined with the "some characters won't make it in" rumor, and it makes sense it may happen.

Many fighters in Smash are jokes, never been a valid reason to consider.

Ah, we need proof now? I will provide that as soon as you prove why Lucario will stay as a fighter.

Jigglypuff is a veteran character. Simple as that. All of the veterans have been in every Smash. Why one Earth would you expect it to not be in Brawl?

The Red Trainer is nostalgia and a clear representative of all pokemon trainer characters thus far. Completely reasonable inclusion. Of course, he's popular too.

How many notable roles in games and other sorts of media has Lucario had? More than a handful. Find my post detailing this for... well, details.

A joke of a character and a joke character are two different things. Pichu is the former.

I can't predict the future, sadly. There's no way for me to provide proof. I can however easily find quotes on Google; as can you. You're speakin' of a matter that's already happened and isn't open to interpretation if that quote exists anywhere. If said quote explaining why Mewtwo didn't attend the Brawl ain't anywhere to be found, you're only assuming. Which is the antithesis of proof.

Ya missed my point: Smash characters won't always get booted for newer, more relevant ones. T'is a rebuttal of your "Lucario is less relevant than new Pokemon" argument... which, in my old post, I've already disproved anyways. Go find it.

Pikachu is nostalgia and a clear representative of all pokemon characters thus far. Completely reasonable inclusion. Of course, he's popular too.

... Which is t' say, we already have Pokemon's #1 representative which is also a Kanto rep. Jiggles is as well. Obviously Red is a reasonable inclusion, I never said otherwise. But of all characters, why not a trainer with Generation 3 or 4 Pokemon in the name of relevance? Again, my point is this is that relevance is not, and never will be, the end-all for characters new and old.

The difference between my logic and yours is that I am an unbiased, neutral party in regards to Smash and Pokemon. As a result, I see things for what they are and are not.

Somewhere on the internets, that's a legit game.

You underestimate my ability t' form an opinion in spite of said bias. Also, there's no such thing as bein' truly unbiased.

Of course there's no such thing as unbiased, but I don't flaunt its existence like certain fanbases and Karpmods do.
