I think R for run and A for jump would actually be better.

LOL...thats PRICELESS! This is why I LOVE this board! And for the record I agree with Conan. Nintendo says on their freaking website that the GC Controllers will work fine with VC Games. Turns out that they lied. And whats even worse is that some of you say that it wouldn't have taken much to make things right. So I'm definitely a little pissed at Nintendo because on 1 hand I really do want to play Super Mario World. However on the other hand I'm not going to spend 20 bucks that could go towards another controller or game in order to play it comfortably. Sorry but I don't have endless amounts of money at my disposale. Thats why I always review and ask about games before I even consider buying them.
