SSBB Is online and that's final

Whats up with calling out Shoko?

One more time: E3 2006

The same E3 where it was announced that Metroid 3 and Mario Galaxy would be released at or near the Wii launch...

From Reggie's interview last month at E3:

For example, is December 3's "Super Smash Bros. Brawl" for the Wii also going to be playable online?
"We haven't said. We will make other announcements around 'Smash Bros. Brawl,' but we decided to not overly focus on it in this show."

If it was common knowledge, then he would have just said, "Of course it's online, we announced that last year." Instead he dodged the question.

Regardless of what Nintendo people have mentioned in the past, the issue of SSBB being playable online has yet to be announced officially by Nintendo.

Thank you skippy.

I am not against all of you, it seems you think this.

I truly expect online play, by as of yet there isn't a official announcement.

And at LiK, plans change change.

terrible example. It does not fairly portray the situation.

He dodged the question because Nintendo wants to make this a huge announcement. They want to make it the biggest announcement of the year. You honestly think that Reggie is ganna tell some guy backstage that it is online so that he can put it on his blog and ruin the whole surprise?

Common sense isnt so common...

It shows that they can and have made announcements that later changed.

If it's common knowledge that SSBB is online (as has been portrayed in this thread), then how would it be a big giant announcement? You yourself said this was already announced a year ago at E3 2006. Therefore this would be old news and not "the biggest announcement of the year". You can't have it both ways.

A big announcement to the general fanbase, not us who do our research. My friend, who I play melee with, didnt know about www.smashbros.com, didnt know people talked about gaming online, didnt know about E3 or any other gathering, and thinks Im a complete nerd for knowing about it.

The general public does not know yet.

You needed to relize that, you can't be the amazing shoko and just 'own' everyone when you want.

Our veiws are only slightly different, you basiclly think it's announced now where as I think it will be announced later.

LiK, the point of the video was to show that it hasnt been announced, if it has been he would of kindly told the reporter.

Yes the game will be online, but it hasnt been announced yet.

^Who said it was announced!? I said it was CONFIRMED. There is a world of difference.

Miyamoto confirmed online play at E3 2006. Miyamoto/Reggie will ANNOUNCE online play at TGS 2007.

Like I said earlier, confirming something will only get the word out to those who follow the company, (or, apparently only those who use logic (I apologize, that was a spur of the moment jab)) however, after it is announced they will begin useing that announcement as a selling point to the general public.

Announcing the game is confirmed online...

Last year, you may think it is confirmed, they hinted and said they would like to put online in it. Planned and Confirmed, a world of difference ^_^

maybe some snes producers wanted online play, but they didnt get it.

Metroid was speculated to be online, but nope they announced it wasnt therefore confirming it.

The announcement will be the confirmation we need.

Yes I think this game will be online (everyone thinks im against all you who think it is), everything points to it and logic show;s that it will be, but that isnt confirming. It will be but as of yet we are waiting for the proper confirmation rather then assumtions.

Think of a CSI case, they find out someone has been in a victims room the day before they were reported dead, it is asumsed he did it. But wha they didn't see was someone who was in a week before who put a fake teabag that would poisen the person who drank the tea.

Your examples are still unfair. Nintendo never even hinted at online play for Metroid, that was all consumer speculation. SSB is 'expected' to come out December 3rd...Is that still up in the air, too?

Life isnt fair:rolleyes:

Just admit that SSBB is very likely to be online but hasnt been announced yet.

Did we not agree on that...

The list of companies in attendance at TGS does not include Nintendo.

They could still decide to go at the last minute, but if they were planning on using TGS to make a major announcement, then they wouldn't wait until the last minute to decide to even go in the first place.
