Why couldn't he just have stayed a mute like all the other game heroes?... But than again, I also wish they'd have kept his retro design...

Eh... Sonic voice actors have always low on my list. The only ones I found acceptable was the ones from this one Sonic movie/anime thing in the 90's...

And even that took some getting used to...

Oh well, I plan on maining Sonic in Brawl regardless. Guess I'll have to only use the break-dancing taunt...

In all honesty, this could be attributed to sound quality just as much as the actual actor. Although the actor probably over does it, the quality is pristine, and they probably compress it to sound very thin and tinny like sonics voice used to only it wasnt annoying cause they didnt do that. This is also slightly noticeable if you go from watching Spongebob TV episodes to the Spongebob Movie. The quality was upped since its a motion picture and its a lot more high-end and polished, bringing out the annoyance of it even more.

Yep. You can hear the annoying parts more clearly which make them even more annoying.
EDIT: and as i was saying, compression and EQ make Sonic's voice more high end then when he actually records it, like the opposite of adding bass in your car, because they probably want it to be as distinct as can be, very high pitched and like thin, because thats how people will think they remember it.

i never had a problem with sonics voice. its just a voice. is it sonics voice actors fault they cant speak sonics voice the right way.

did ssbb come out in japan yet. because if it has then wouldn't people from japan post up their battles in brawl on u-tube.
