I think the stage was pretty good, although I'd rather it not have been turned into a desolate wasteland in the background, made me feel kinda depressed, and well...old.

The music however was great. I loved the arrangement and the slow leisurely pace. Almost feels out of place in a fighting game huh?

Great stage overall. It's going to make for some interesting matches I assure you.

Dude...occasionally load the underground?!? That's badass!!! He just switches it up on occasion! I LOVE this stage! I wonder if there will be another one like it with Bowser's Castle and an Underwater level? Or maybe the same concept from SMB3? Even if not, I'm SO happy with this update, and I'm RIDICULOUSLY happy that Sakurai got Koji Kondo to do the theme.

In fact, Masahiro Sakurai, Koji Kondo, and Jun Senoue all on the same team is simply amazing. I love this game more every day and it hasn't even been released yet ^_^

EDIT: I think Ike's just jumping...

And BTW, THIS is what the "New Super Mario Bros" should have looked like. INTENSE!

i know.
i also like that it occasionaly goes underground too but theres probably a cheat to make it 100% chance you'll get it

I feel slightly opposite of your opinion, I love the stage but I love it even more because it looks like desolate wasteland because that shows Mario hasn't been there in so long that it's totally ruins now, it's kind of hard to explain why I like it more becuase of it looking like that, I guess it shows that Mario was there so long ago in the past (almost thirty years) that he is brought back to it is a cool thought to me, like I said, if I sound stupid it's only because it's hard to describe.

But the music on the other hand is okay, nothing amazing, nothing great, it's just okay.

Well I see where you're going with this, but its kinda hard to see something you grew up with look so old and tired. Especially when you don't consider yourself that old.

How's it that hard? My NES is a dusty broken(age reasons) hunka plastic and I don--... get eary eyed every time I SEE it! Why god why?! :cryin: I get it man! I so get it!!! Why god WHHHYYYYYYYYYY?! :cryin: :cryin:

Best stage so far!!! AMAZING!!! Awesome Music!!!!
The only thing I don't like is the background... They would have just as easily done cool hills or something... 1-1 isn't a dessert level... :| But whatever... I really Like this, (I hope the option of side scrolling or up/down scrolling is available in the make a level thing!!!)

This is a great update. Even though it has a dessert background, I think this will be a great stage. It'll be unique 'cause you're racing along the clock and going thourhg a bunch of bricks and wholes. And the music was nice too.
