About the clock, I doubt it will only slow down time, because then when someone goes to attack another, the person being attacked could just put up their shield until time is up. I'm sure it will totally stop time. Perhaps even ADD time to "Timed Matches"?

As much as the common sense side of me wants to agree with you, that's not entirely true. That only guarantees an appearance of an F-zero character.
