Grey blocks are given out by members with little or no rep. Usually new members. However, when a gray rep bar appears next to someone's name, that means they were negative repped by a moderator.

Hey How does one see if they have any reputation? Does it just show up (and I am just bad at getting reputation), or is there a place to look for it? Thanks

You get rep by helping others out or making good posts.
You check it by going to the user control panel near the top of the screen.

hmm, still a ltitle confused, is it under Private messages? For me, User Control Panel is not clickable, only the private message section is

When you click the user cp at the top you should see your rep, unless you don't have any yet. That could be the case, ill change that though :lol:
