Problem with Black Ops Multiplayer

Hey everybody. I tried to play multiplayer on Call of Duty: Black Ops and it didn't work. When i try to go onto Wi-Fi connection it just keeps saying "please wait". I'm not sure if I have the connections set up right but I have internet access and everything else. It just won't work on Black Ops. Please comment if you think you have an answer. Thanks!
