Tyrantrum is a Serperior Rampardos... bar the lower HP. But no, certain Mega Evolutions have more muscle and function as better wall breakers, without the need t' be choice locked (ohai MegaLuke). Callin' it right meow that Tyrantrum isn't gonna be OU just because it can Head Smash things without recoil. Might end up OU (though I doubt it 'cause Fighting AND Fairy-type weakness), but not just for Rock Head abuse.

Semi-confirmation for that. Don't remember where I got mine, but durin' my backtracking I do remember bein' given an Eviolite for havin' a well-documented Coastal Pokedex.
... Speakin' of "ite" stones, Eviolite is sort'a the first/prototype Mega Stone... but it works backwards. Mega Evolutions tend to increase attack stats, whereas Eviolite increases defense for NFE Pokes.

And lower attack. 121 or whatever is fantastic and all, but it's no 165. But yes, Tyrantrum is still better.
I was surprised to see that it had a speed of 71 when the stats came out. Mine seemed a lot slower for some reason.

And also, upon research, I see it's finally confirmed what the boost is. 50%? Okay, that's actually pretty cool. Rock Head will be the choice ability when spamming Head Smash, of course, but Strong Jaw is actually viable.

I got Pokerus through random trade, said trainer assuredly bein' a kind soul who is part of a competitive community and thus had easy access to PKRS. Pokerus was never thought of to be more common.
As for shinnies, Bodine is just a single isolated incidence. You're (INCORRECTLY) assumin' shinnies are more common until hackers find the data t' prove it.
I wouldn't say abuse, since the Fangs are only at 95~ BP after Strong Jaw's boost, whereas Crunch essentially gets free STAB. Which is cool I s'pose, not that Dark is good for anythin' but neutral coverage... damn shame it's relation with Fairy-type isn't in reverse. Would give Tyrantrum the same anti-Fairy STAB Dragalge gets (dat adaptability-boosted sludge bomb).
