please let the virtual console come online.....

this topic is kinda stale lately, i was wondering if anybody has heard anything? i really more than anything else want for the wii to be able to play the virtual console games online somehow. mario kart 64 online, tecmobowl online, leader boards for completion time on metroid and mario .... why the f%^k are games like joust online on for ps3, and bomberman and pacman for the 360, and we have nothing for the wii? i really feel like i'm getting left out

It's because nintendo wants us to feel the games just like they were back when they were released. Personally, I would like the online feature for vc games, but if they don't put it, I'll enjoy my games just as much.

Nintendo has invested money in MAME. Now we find out it's for Neo Geo. But the possibility of online VC is high. If Nintendo doesn't allow it, someone running something like zbattle.net can do it for the Wii in the future. It will happen, one way or the other.

I think there's confusion over "online". I believe Nickz meant VC games being played on a Wii but using the Wii's online capabilities. You seem to be talking about using a separate PC to play VC games online without a Wii.

Go play Zbattle. It's what X-box live is all about. If you never played a single Nintendo game online ever, you have no clue how much money Nintendo could make on this.

VC isn't going to come online, and I'm kind of glad. I don't want to wait longer for my favorite games, and pay more for them just for an online coop mode.These old games were made for playing with friends *while* sharing ass space on the couch. What's the point of playing Contra if you can't punch your friend every time he gets you killed? How do you decide who has to be Luigi with out playing rock-paper-scissors (Where some one tries to pull that "Dynamite" BS, so you put them into a headlock until they say you get to be Mario.)?

No, I like the way the VC is currently working.And I'm sure they don't have any intent to change it.

but on a serious note, I really would love it if vc had online multiplayer, then i'd never leave the house, i'd be on mario kart 64
