What, you actually expected the Wii to have better online capabilities than a computer that (most likely) has a built-in ethernet? The Wii's online is meant more for quick searches, not an advanced online experience.

Besides, it's kinda nice to watch youtube videos and use the internet when you're sitting comfortably on your sofa, rather than less than two foot away from the screen and in a chair that isn't all that great.

Dude ok!!! The Wii wasnt built for Internet speed it was just built to connect to the internet mostley. And plus did you notice when you downloaded the Browser for your Wii it says TRIAL

No, actually the Trial Version of the Internet Channel is gone. The complete version came out in June. If you had the trial channel then it should have automatically updated into the complete Internet Channel.

Internet channel is good... Have got finetune and also loads of searching, good for looking at maps etc (anything on a larger screen than my laptop!) Can even use a usb keyboard on it now. And by the way, can view youtube vids on it and play loads of free games!

I do think however that the online gameplay is not good.. the only game that I can use is Mario Strikers! There are loads that could have been able to go online with like Mario Party and even excite truck!

I think you guys are obfuscating the first reach of any console. User freedom. We're allowed to do crap on the wii we can't do on the 360 or the PS3. Surf the interbutts. Yes, They chose opera for this, which was the biggest mistake of their career with the wii...But I'm sure if they asked firefox nicely, they'd do it for free.

Lol I doubt that Nintendo Wii ever change Internet Browser, that would be cool if they made one themselves like Nintendo Network Browser or something like that. Still I wish i had 500 Wii points to buy that Opera Internet Browser on my Wii lol
