Rent or Buy?... Endless Ocean

Any thoughts on Endless Ocean?

My recommendation: Buy it now, and eBay it when you're done.

I've played about 13 hours of the game (taking my time, not pushing to finish) and am really enjoying it. At 8-10 hours, I thought I was nearly done, but then... voila!... more to do! I anticipate another 5-8 hours to go (playing about 1-2 a day). I even put Mario Galaxy aside to work on Endless Ocean.

Why do I like it?... Swimming over and under a blue whale.. diving into the Abyss.. being a diving guide and finding the fish they want to see... taking picture requests... fish varieties at night are generally different than during day... and the lure of just seeing what comes next (lure... pun intended).

Thanks I bought it and am about where you are now too. I also put aside mario galaxy (at about 65 stars) to play this. It definitely has a mysterious allure and charm to it. I wish the map was bigger and it was truly endless.

Its almost more satisfying buying a game you're unsure of and loving it than buying mario galaxy and not being surprised its amazing. Hoping Zack and Wiki will provide the same feeling. Stupid hubbagames messed up my order though, hopefully will get here sooner than later.

Got some amazon vouchers to use up and gonna get some wii titles this month, I quite fancy a multiplayer game and thought that the sports ones may be a good bet.

So whats the verdict on the two are they similar or is it worth getting both?

Which sports ones do you mean?

so i've got 2000 wii points to spend, and i've decided on ocarina of time.

what should i spend the other 1000 on? (only interested in n64 titles)

Anyone recommend a good online title?
I have NiGHTS but I can never connect online with anyone, I think it's because the game didn't sell too well and it has a hard time finding players with the signal radius? (I'm not sure really what the issue is. I've never been able to connect to an online match)

Anyways I'm trying to find a good online title to pass the time till Brawl, and to distract me from brawl when I need a change of game. Any thoughts?

Heard a lot of mixed reviews on BWii, I like RTS I'm a big Warcraft/Starcraft fan, figured this looked similar, but never played it so i dunno.

Hearing lots of great things about MoH:H2. But a few things make me wary of purchasing the title. Since EA controls the servers, what's to say they don't decide t pull the plug a few years down the road rendering the online portion nonexistent? Also once Brawl is launched, is anyone still going to play?

Should I hold out for a better FPS to come along? OR just wait for Brawl and be content? OR Bite the bullet and get either BWii or MoH:H2?

decisions, decisions.

i'd say wait for brawl. BWII and MOHH2 are (somewhat) solid games, but they reflect the wii's online feature in its infancy. they are both the first online game of their kind on the wii, so they've got PLENTY of fixin' to do. brawl should be the next stepping stone for the wii's online capability, so we should expect to seem DRASTIC improvements being made.

...however, if you really just can't wait, the choice between BWII and MOHH2 is solely based on preference of genre, seeing as both games are fun, yet still flawed.

Good point. Gonna go to game stop and try and reserve a copy of brawl today. if I'm not able to reserve there, then I'll just get it asap after launch.
You're right, I'll probably stick to CS from my fps online needs. Until something decent on the wii comes out for that area.
