Official 'I got a Wii' thread

Hello everyone! I just picked up my Wii on Sunday and I love it! I went to Best Buy and saw a fresh new pile of Wiis on the shelf and quickly grabbed one and a copy of Warioware. Now I'm patiently waiting for RE4 and U.C.

yea man, mine was so easy to get. I was playing 360 during spring break, and got bored because I couldn't beat this one thing on Oblivion. My grandma sent me $300 to buy the Wii, so I gave my local gamestop another call to see if they had any wii's in (probably my 5th call in 3 months to gamestop about the wii) they had one left, so I dashed my a** across the street and they had one. My mum got out of work 4:30 and it was about 4:15 when I got there. I waited, checked out some games, played some demos on the PS3 & 360 and just made sure no one came in to buy that Wii. Eventually my mum fifteen minutes later and she bought it with the money my grandma sent me and then when I got home, I was playing wii sports in a matter of minutes. Talk about right timing, no waiting in line for 14 hours or overnight for me. haha, pretty sweet, don't you think.

i don't have a wii in my hands yet. I got one off ebay. It SHOULD be here by friday. Wife was pissed, last thing we need is more debt but I put it on the credit card. We already owe a ton of money. With that being said, I have to be very careful about the games that I buy. I don't see anything that I know I'm going to be really into yet, besides carnival games.

On the way is a brand new wii system with wii play, remote and nunchuck, an extra nunchuck, wii play with an extra remote.

i know wii sports will last me a while and wii play might be decent, but it came with a remote. I like the whole mini-game aspect of the wii. That's why carnival games is going to be great, plus it's carnival! weeeeee anyway...i don't even see anything worth buying in the soon to be released line up. There might be a few games comming out that interest me that I haven't heard about tho. I'm happy with a few good games rather than a bunch of them because I just can't afford them. If anyone can steer me in the right direction with what games to get, that'd be great.

Might want to look at Resident Evil 4 : Wii Edition, Mario Party 8, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (has online play from what I have been told) & Super Smash Brothers Brawl.

This is probably the wrong place to ask but does anyone know when is the next shipment of Wiis for BestBuy. It has to be BestBuy cause I have $100 dollars in BB bucks

I got mine in December.... I'm a little late. Anyways, the day I got it I had to go outside and scream "I got a wii!" or else my dad wouldn't help me set it up. I woke my neighbors up. :lol:

So at 4:15 I was there and i asked for it and the pulled it out from the back. I couldn't believe it. Now the bad part was waiting for my mom to get out at 4:30. I played the PS3 and the 360 and kept my eye out for any ptoential buyers. I was determined to get that Wii, luckily no one bought it. So at 4:30 she called me back and said she couldn't get out until 6 (drops on his knees, rasises his arms and said NO!!!) just playing about the knees thing, but it was a joke, so she got there right after work, she bought the LAST Wii at Gamestop. I Went home, opend the Wii (amazing)and then played Wii sports. I zelda the next day. Better then waiting for fourteen hours for a Wii. Talk about perfect timing. :smilewinkgrin:

My Wii

I got mine on May 29th. I was expecting a good system for $300, but it is amazing! I just can't believe what it does. First the weather and email capabilities are awesome, and the Internet channel is wicked too. But the three games I picked up are so fun. Zelda is just awesome, Trauma center is hard to put down, and believe it or not Cooking Mama is probably the most fun I've ever had cooking. Best waste of time ever!

I FINALLY got mine last week. the only problem is is that its at my dads house and i gotta wait 'til June 17 to play it! i have redsteel waiting here at home!
