Alright...i've been working on this one a while. I tried to apply depth, lighting, and creativity. This is one of my only sigs where I didn't use a tut at all to help me (usually I peek at a few of them when i'm making my sigs). It might be a lot shittier than I think...meh, whatever. It's up to you guys for the critique.

Also, to me, I think the left side is a bit empty, which is why i'm not finished...anything you guys could suggest would be appreciated.

Fair enough, i'll work on it. I attempted to create some depth with the pen tool going through the stars and around the black object, then by creating a "shadow" (not totally a shadow) under the black thing...but i'll definitely work on it. Thanks. This is for one of my requests btw (yes, believe or not, I actually do my sig requests...).

The first would be better if the bg was more blurred, I mean you also need to add blur to the stars, use the blur tool to have the effect that you want in it.

For the left side, add a similar line, like the one you made with the pen tool in the right side, adn add a C4D coming bottom to top in left diagonal, to give some feel in the render.

The rest of the sig is okay.

To add onto Demons critique, I don't think the light source is in the right place, and isn't big/bright enough. I don't really like the render, doesn't do much for the sig either, probably 'cause it's tad too small IMO. Also dislike the font I like how you're improving with the pen tool mind you, and the blurriness does add a touch more depth. Maybe adding a C4D or two, blurring them into the background (overlayage or something), then it'll give more detail to it. woopty woop.

The lights.. yeah I forgot about that, they need more work. Try to create lights above the render's face, a 40/50x soft brush (white), and then put the layer to soft light, and try to give a shadow too, in the other side of the render, always creates more realism. Oh and then add another light in the top, 120x soft brush (white), set it to lighten then change the opacity.

The render doesn't flow with the bg Mike, that's why you don't like it, maybe because the left side is to empty.

Hey Tyler I saw that sig style in a tut, and you mentioned that you didn't followed any tut :lol:
It was on Pixel2Life I think. One with Arctic Monkeys.
