The adapter is basically a mini wireless access point on the back of your computer. It lets the Wii communicate with the Internet through your computer.
ah! i was gunna say, theres no USB on a router and its pointless to make the wii "wifi" when its already capable of doing this on its own. now it makes sense.
sounds too complicated though (its really not but it sounds like more trouble than what its worth to set up)
