Finally, some news! MCV reports today that Nintendo has announced that it will be making a big reveal on Thursday, September 13, at 3pm UK time, 10am New York time. The massive Nintendo Direct Wii U press event is to be held in New York, and will be available to view on livestream worldwide. MCV says that it is expected that Apple will announce the US release date and price-point for the Wii U at the media event. MCV expects Nintendo to announce that the new console will be released in either late November or early December.
Also reporting on the story, Videogamer says that Nintendo Europe is also hosting a Wii U Nintendo Direct event at exactly the same time as the US press event, at an unnamed venue in Europe. This event will be hosted by Nintendo Europe president Satoru Shibata, with Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime hosting the New York event.
