Nintendo announces the 2DS

... You'll buy a 2DS without sellin' one'a your 3DS'? That's mighty wasteful, even if ya buy your 2DS used, long after it's been released (and therefore it got a notable price drop).

Nintendo 3DS

Small clam shell system with hinges, 3D top screen, 2 speakers and sterescopic cameras for 3D Pictures or Video.

Nintendo 2DS

Huge flat singular molded, mono speaker, stereoscopic cameras for what?

Let's face it, I was a tech junkie back then and I'm still a tech junkie now. I'd be a pissed off 7 year old with a system that could not fold to protect the screen, not having the advantage of hearing the bastard Mario Kart Racer to the left/Right of me directly would piss me off, and having a non-3D system that has stereoscopic cameras still along with me saying that playing this 3D Game in my 2D System is awesome would in actuallity be atrocious.

I really understand the move of it for being for little kids, but I really think that it's mainly the "name" that it pisses me off along with a bit of seperation of the 3DS line. Nintendo could have passed off a more kid friendly name and say it also happens to play those games.
