Need some help in the sewer section...

Okay, so I just got out of the little jail cell and now the weird evil elf wants me to get across this gate. To do this, I hafta swim down into the water and through this tunnel.....but i can't figure out how to do that! How do i dive down into the water?

Help?

You have to get the water level down. Back track and find a chain jump up you bite it and pull it down. The gate closes and the water level goes down. Then go back and dig you way to the other side.
