my views towards the wii

Dam, lets drop this bullsh*t, wii is selling great whats wrong with that? Why cant peeps be happy with that?

PS3 very good system, not doing well now but will start selling a lot and i mean a lot of units by this time year!

My point is if you dont like this/that console SHUTUP, NO ONE WANTS TO HERE IT!
We got like 18,000 threads on this type of crap... no need to argue/debate over it!

(keep on doing this, i guarantee you Shift is going to pop out of nowhere to prove his statement, which is most of the time right)

Oh shiftallout, you never learn do you son ?

Ya, your right, Miyamoto's ideas arent ever addressed. OH WAIT thats right, he created the WIIMOTE !!

Guess he is just a salesman/figurehead, guess his ideas never actually make it to production (Insert Sarcasm).

Once again Shiftallout, WALK ON HOME BOY, WALK ON HOME !

lol let me quote my first post, because you apparently were unable to read it.
"The wiimote was actually designed by Myamoto who got the idea from using a tv remote, one of the few things nintendo let him continue doing is create the controllers. Out of the many prototypes they picked the remote and modeled it after a similar patented device (which nintendo is actually being sued for). Now if Myamoto was able to at least influence the controller, what would happen if he actually had more control over the company? We would see quality in the games and product. We would tilt back towards the pattern used in the snes days. Thats not gonna happen,"

Geeze yer a smarty for repeating what I already said. Miyamoto has been designing the controllers since the nes. Its not only him, but they do come up with prototypes. Again, its that figure head thing. Everyone expects miyamoto to create and design the controllers, but how long will they let him? I could care less if he made a controller, I want to see his games, his attachments like the N64DD, his leadership and innovation, but he doesnt have that power anymore. Do you deny that there has been no change in power since Yamauchi retired? I remember when Miyamoto said he found out someone was making mii's in a different department, and his developement team had been working on that project for years but it kept getting trashed by the higher ups. So why let someone else do it without his knowledge, when he had in fact been working on them since before the N64. lol Cmon. what youwere you saying "boy"?

Nice try kiddo.

and yes i do know that. its not going to be like the ps2 simply because of the price. in matter of fact, i have 3 ps2s. why? cause they were affordable. but guess how much 3 ps3s would cost? $1800. i think u get my point

so then if there's a sale on refridgerators at Lowe's i should buy 3 of them??

This thread went to **** around page 3.5
That also happens to be where I stopped reading and unsubscribed.

Some of you have a closed mind. You will defend the system no matter what others say.

Selfdestruct, you make no sense in defending a system. You are what the dictionary calls "fanboy"
Ciper, repped. A wise one indeed

Hey shiftfallout, whats sony's cpu vs 360's cpu vs wiis? I'm honestly just curious and want to see them side by side. And I have to agree that my wii has been gathering dust while i've played my 360.

I find it funny, though, that both nintendo and sony pushed out some kind of new technology (motion sensing- wii, and kinda motion sensing and amazing graphix and stuff-ps3), and microsoft just gradually upgraded (still a pretty good upgrade), and no motion sensing. They stayed with an origional controller design, not exactly the same as the origional like ps3, but not as overboard as wii's. And instead of failing miserably, they are currently the leader and the most fun system in my mind. Just noting:p

Last generation:
Ps2: 128-bit "Emotion Engine" (300MHz) with multiple co-processors
Gamecube: PowerPC 485 MHz "gecko"
Xbox:powerPC based 733 MHz Intel Custom Pentium III

Progression to this generation, notice the changes. One system barely progresses at all.
Ps3: Cell based 3.2gighz Cpu.
Wii:720mhz "broadway" Cpu...aka "gecko #2"
360: PowerPC Based 3.2ghz (thats 3200mhz)

The Wii really is just an overclocked GameCube with a DVD player. Sony has stuck with the multiprocessing cpu, which is the new wave of cpu's being led by cell technology. The 360 and the Wii are using Powerpc based single focused cpus, horrible at multitasking but focus on one job. A bit old tech.

actually the motion sensing is far from new. Nintendo just mainstreamed it, but it has been around for awhile. Both Microsoft and Sony had tilt sensing on their products in addition to this in the past. There was a game that came out in asia awhile back that actually was wii sport except that you would buy a tennis racket for the tennis game, the baseball bat for the base ball game..ect they all used motion sensing to tell the movement of the item. It was a standalone unit. Sony is actually using NEW technology, which is one reason why its higher priced but also another reason why most parents wouldnt want their kids messing it up. Cheap sells, especially when parents buy for their kids. However you really cant take the wii seriously as a full on gaming console, its a fun system but very limited by what it can do. This is why we see the use of the game cube controller, along side the fact it is an upgraded game cube.

Wow, thats pathetic for the wii:yikes:

So the ps3 is better at multitasking than 360? Huh, guess I'll have to go investigate how the ps3 works later sigh....
Thanks though!

i didnt think it had a dvd player...

It has a dvd player, which I believe is limited to single layer dvds. Meaning 4.5gigabytes of space. Which makes you wonder why there is not movie play back options right? They were too lazy. For some reason nintendo has been against their consoles doing anything else beyond playing games. Example... movie dvds.

The 360 uses dual layer dvds which can range up to about 9gigs. The PS3 with dual layer blue ray ranges up to 50gigs.

the wii's game disks are in like dvd format. thats why the wii has the potential of playing dvds.

and to shiftfallout: no, the wii is an upgraded gamecube with 200mhz more, bluetooth technology, sd card slot, 12cm disks, motion sensing, way better graphics, more online play, playable vidoes, with wiiconnect24, 2 usb ports, and has more memory. thats wat the wii is

In otherwords, if the if the 360's tweaked out version is called the ELITE, then therefor the Wii is the Game Cubes Elite version.

360--> 360 Elite
Gamecube---> Wii (GC Elite)

So it really is the same system just tweaked and slightly upgraded for higher performance. You can have the same computer and change cases that offer USB slots and other tiney features, but its still the same computer.
