I don't know what the problem is, I think you said exactly what the problem was in one of your posts, so you are plugging your Wii into a UPS? I don't see how that could cause problems, but it seems like that could be the only problem
I'm not saying that anybody is doing anything bad to their consoles, after all, if you get something and it dosen't work out of the box, that would be a defect, and you can't help that (SONY products have the most defects in my household), but for every console i've ever owned, I have never had a problem out of the box, and the only console I have ever had a problem with was the XBOX 360, the XBOX 360 lasted for about 3 or 4 months (I think), and now it freezes like crasy, the graphics are messed up, but I think that was caused by something my brother did, anyway, hope it's 3rd times the charm
