memory card issue

Okay.... so i have an SD memory card that looks just like the ones nintendo sells....... i tried to stick it in my memory card slot......... i dont know how they snap in...... can anyone tell me what im doing wrong?

Then i stuck it in the true SD slot on the front of the machine.....


it just seems to me, the machine is looking for more of a "play station" type memory card to go in the normal slots as it seems something bigger than an SD card goes there.....

im lost in the forest, and need guidance.

Please help!

The two slots on the top of the Wii (when standing vertical) are for gamecube memory cards. The SD slot is on the front of the machine, underneath the small flap, right next to the snyc button.
