Nintendo has not announced a price or release date yet. So retailers use their best guesses.

Yea, I thought the same thing. It's only confirmed as Q1 and that's it.

I think $60 isn't a great price at all. $20 for a piece of plastic?? I can see five and maybe ten but 20?

It isn't that bad of a price, and where are you getting $20 from, most wii games sell for $49.99 new, not $39.99. So it's an extra $10 for the wheel, over priced yes, but not too much to ask, also like other posters have said it isn't confirmed, it is just a speculation that Gamestop made. I do think that it is a good find, if true, but until there is confirmed details via Nintendo then I will have to take the price that Gamestop posts on their site as nothing more than a guess.

Mario Kart Wii will not be 59.99 and will DEFINETLY NOT be released on the second of January.

Oh yeah true. I got confused sorry. And LevesqueKing, I was just informing you that gamestop has a hunch that it might sell for $60. There is no reason to close it, and you have no proof that it won't sell for $60, unless you work for nintendo. (Which I highly doubt.)

^Gamestop is not a source for anything, whatsoever. I can garuntee you that they've been wrong on 5x as many things as they've been right. Nintendo said it would be released in Q1, that would be anytime in the spring, and if they had a release date than they would have announced it at E3, or they would have atleast announced it as being released in early January. They also said that the WiiWheel would be packaged free.

Perhaps you need to be reminded that Gamestop is the one that announced Brawl, Galaxy and Corruption being released with the Wii, then on 3/1, and then on 6/1 and then on 9/1 and then there correct release dates. They also announced that Brawl would be online with no confirmation.

We know Gamestop is not a reliable source for future releases in the gaming world, but just give it a rest LIK. Not necessary for you to be as hostile as your posts have suggested, towards manufan15, he just posted some info he found, and as far as I could tell he wasn't preaching it as truth.

Offical date and price estimated, and it is gamestop, but this is interesting....

I agree that Wikipedia is a better source than Gamestop, but chill out man. Also Wikipedia can be edited by almost anyone so it can't be considered truth unless sources are cited, but more often than not the information found there is much more reliable than that of Gamestop or any other retailer.

No problem manufan, I just didn't see a reason for the aggravated posts by LIK, I know he means well, just got irritated.

Nintendo announced the wheel will come with the game with no additional charges, like Wiiplay. This was talked about at E3 2007. The release date is also wrong. Nintendo hinted at a Spring release. I think Gamestop just wants some extra cash. Only time will tell. Both the price and date are currently unofficial.

The date is just a placeholder (Gamestop is infamous for these) and the price is flat out wrong, which is interesting because raising the price would hurt sales.
