i still dont get xbox live.. why pay extra $XX.XX per year to play against others. you pay $YY.YY per month for high speed internet, then $ZZ.ZZ for a game, plus the $XX.XX?

i'd rather get a pc game and play for free on servers (well, outside the internet cost and game cost).
