I think it is only when you play the minigame. In the minigames, Ronaldinho is a Mii!

MLB Power Pros
PES 2008

These both allow you to load your Mii and play with them. MLB Power Pros has this in a different mode, while PES 2008 has full Mii integration, including the ability to form teams with Miis.

Miis can actually be used as playable characters in Mario Kart Wii, you should add that.
