I wanna buy a Wii for my parents. What hardware and games to choose ?

As in the title, I wanna buy a Wii for my mom. I read online the wii is popular with the senior people so I wanna give it a shot.

BUt I never owned one so I have no ideea what to choose, especially considering the plethora of games, hardware components and peripherals, wii nunchuck and wiimote and so on. And is there a new type of wiimote with better and faster response ? A wiimote v2.0 ?

I think the list should include :
- The wii
- 2 wiimotes
- the wii sports game (which one is the most popular and easier ?)
- the wii fit, or wii fit plus. Do I need to buy an external board ? or the game has this included in the package ?

There is packs where You can get the Wii console, Wii Fit/Wii Fit Plus and Wii Sports all together in one pack. The 2nd wiimote (+nunchuck) You have to buy seperate.
