I need some help in the Lakebed Temple

Im near the end... all I need is the boss key.
I don't know how to get it though.
I'm in the room that has it. but i dont know how to get it.
all there is... water that goes up to a ledge, platform with the boss key on it, and a whole bunch of those pihrana things.

PS. I checked a walkthrough...
it said that there would be a Gekko.
but i don't see one anywhere.

Thats the best part of the Zelda games, figuring it out. Some times I get stuck for ages but I prefer to just poke around until I find the solution.
