I need help with Wi-Fi

I'm new here, and I'm sure if this is where I post this, but I really need some help. I'm not sure what Wi-Fi or how it works....^^; If anyone wouldn't mind explaining it to a ditz like me, I'd greatly apprechiate it! ^_^
