i need help going wifi

hi i want to go wifi and cant afford a router will this work it may look complicated phone filter ------ethernet------modem --- usb from modem -----to a usb to male ethernet plug adapter ----- to usb adapter for the wii to the wii

ELMO 999 U SAVED MY LIFE if u didn tell me to go to the wifi site i woudmt have found a solution im gona use a wireless usb adaptor for my laptop

DONT DO IT! The Nintendo Wifi USB Wireless adapter is terrible. Search the forum if you don't believe me.

The wifi adapter was pretty crap but i just dl'ed the newest version off the nintendo site and it works great (for ds). I havnt tried the latest version for wii. I disconnected it for like 3 months and just reconnected it last week to get the internet channel for free. I disconnected it again 'cause I'm waiting for an online game (other than pokemon) to come out.
