How many play lan?

Since i cannot connect to the internet
(Keep on getting an error code saying i cannot connect to the internet choose your settings) i want to get a lan connector for the wii and i want to make sure people play on lan

There are no LAN compatable games on the Wii.
The LAN adaptor is used to connect the Wii to a wired internet connection
