how do i reset a wii game

i bought a used a wii game and i put it in my wii and it comes up with old data how do i reset it and be able to start fresh with it the name of the game is Family game night and carnival can anyone help me out

You can delete save data by going to the Wii's main menu (where all the channels are displayed), and clicking the wrench in the lower left hand corner of the screen. Work your way through the next few menus that show up to "save data management" for your Wii, or something similarly named.

Find the save data for the games you're looking for, select 'em, and choose to delete it.
