Horror Movie

Okay, I need help with a movie. When I was about six or so, (I'm 19 now) I remember watching a horror movie. These guys lived in a house...maybe. Well they brought home a big trunk and put it in the basement. They accidently opened it and a huge gorrilla looking creature came out and killed them.

My mom told me that it was a mini-film. Like, part of a set of horror movies...but who knows. Does this ring a bell for anyone. I just remember it being the scariest movie at that time. And I would like to watch it.

Sounds like the original Creepshow (1982) - it was a collection of short horror films, specifically the one called 'The Crate' - the monster was a hairy, primate looking critter.

Haven't seen the original in a while!
