Wow. It's semi-comforting to know that I am not hte only one with disappointed children this x-mas. I have the "not able to read disc" error as well. I am very "A" type and am about to throw the thing through the wall.
I can't believe that I will have to wait for it to be repaired. How long do you think this will take? With all these problems, it would not suprise me if they get an overload to repair.
