Forward E-mail To Wii Address

I know a few of you set-up you e-mail accounts to have e-mail sent your Wii. How did you do it?

I have set up forwarding on Gmail to the Wii address,but I have gotten nothing. It appears that the From e-mail address has to be changed to a address that is in the Wii's address book,right?

1) add your email address to you wii address book
2) go to you email box and reply back to the automatic email your wii sent
3) go back to you wii and you may have that email you sent
4) finally check if your email is black in your wii adress book, if yes then well done, if not then you done something wroung

That is what I have done,but I get no forwarded e-mail.
I think this is because,when Gmail forwards the e-mail it keeps the senders e-mail address not my address so the Wii doesn't reccognize the address.
