Escorting through Hyrule Field

Damn, the whole time I have been holding B to aim. All you need to do is hold Z when the bird is close enough, and tap B.

I literally spent about an hour on this part and the FIRST time I did not hold B to aim, and only used Z and tapped B, I got it.

The easiest way I found after tries and tries....

Equip your boomerang to B. Only use it, not your bow.
After you pass the archers and open the gate, DART up in front of her as soon as she goes through the gate. Proceed all the way up until the part where the bird drops the first bomb, stay there and wait for the bird, take it out using auto aim, hold Z, do not hold B. The bomb will explode in mid-air, and then throw another to extinguish the flames that will be on her carriage by now. Be sure to get this first bird the first time. If she turns then there will be another bird/bomb to set you back farther.

The next part is easier, one bird, use the same auto aim as before. If she gets hit its a quick turn around at another try.

I literally only had to extinguish her flames a few times: After the archers, one time after the first bird, 2 or 3 times while defeating the last of the archers on horseback.

Relief, I am at the water temple now.

Wow, this thread is booming from February! You'd think the fight with the boar right before the fields would be more challenging, boy was I wrong. Escorting through the fields was much harder. Hope everyone else who needs help in this area...gets help.

To be honest I can't remember, maybe I was able to Z-Target them perfectly or had a lucky shot. I don't think I'm blessed with immense Zelda skill

I actually found it was easy to beat once I did one simple thing, lock on to the birds...

The biggest problem I had was I kept missing the bomb birds, but I was also trying to aim my bow manually, as I didn't realize I could lock on and auto fire with it... Once I figured that out, and having passed the points where the bird drops the bomb each time (knowing where it is), I was able to escort the trailer, then jump forward near the bomb points and kill the bird, then drop back to escort the trailer again...

I'm guessing people who are having difficulty with this may be in the same boat I was, not realizing you can lock the bow on with the z-button and then just fire a few shots to be sure to hit it...

ugh i did that last night it wa sso frusterating lol all you have to do is kill the bird monster in the air with you bow cause they drop bombs and freak there horse out and keep those arrow shooting monsters away aswell dont forget to buy arrows!

My post was a quick 1 minute follow up to my earlier post (7 posts above your very first post) which I originally made while I was still stuck on that part... I had previously read the entire thread up to that original post, and when I realized yesterday that I still hadn't posted a follow up, I made one ASAP...

I figured it's better off to post a quick follow up than ignore the thread completely and assume someone else would eventually figure it out & post it...

Maybe I had it easy, did this first time and only had to put the caravan out with the boomerang once. I found the lure fishing the hardest part in the game, right at the beggining. I was so close to just putting the CD in the microwave, was SO annoying!!

I can't for the life of me get past this part. I thought I was NEVER going to get past the bridge, but made it past fairly quickly (only died a COUPLE of times LOL) but this one is driving me NERTS!

The First bomb is dropped at the corner right? So I should go there with my arrows or my boomerrang?

Oy, I can't wait to get a better TV... the TV I have right now has color that is so mangled that to get a remotely good picture I had to jack the settings seven ways from sunday! I've barely been able to keep track of Link! The hat is what I look for.

I was so close to getting to the second gate but then they burnt up and I had to start all over again... at least I don't have to fight the bridge boss again!
