Escorting through Hyrule Field

So I'm at the part where I'm escorting the two ladies to Kakariko on horseback. I've gotton past the duel on the bridge and I'm at the fields where the warriors have arrows and try to shoot you. So, we keep going around in circles and I pin them down, but the people im escorting wont exit the field! I'm trying to guide them in the right direction (the exit to kakariko) but they just keep going around in circles. Is there something you have to do?

You have to kill that with your bow or something, I have to admit though that bit was quite hard

I've spent the last 4 hours trying to pass this with no avail... I use practically all my arrows trying to shoot the stupid bird, so by the time I get past him, I have no arrows left to hit the next one...

I'm throughly ticked at how difficult this is compared to the fact that doing something like switching between the bow to the boomerang while riding the horse takes so many presses of the D pad that by the time I finally do get it swiched, my horse has run into a wall and i'm left with not enough time to catch back up...

You'ed think with the precisison need here they would have refind the controls to respond how you think they should (but never do) in a pinch...

in order to beat this you have to kill the birds, i used the bow to kill the birds and kept pulling out my boomerang to put out the flame, it was difficult, but after i beat it i realized how much fun this part actually was.

Just stay in front of the wagon and target the bird when you either see it, or hear the bomb....then use the boomerjigger.....I use that strategy all the time, and it works!

I struggled on this bit, i asked for help and i got past it on the first try, so heres my advice:
Always stay on the right side of the wagon.
You dont need to worry about the monsters, just use your gale boomerang to blow out the cart.
Z target the bird, then just keep pressing B repeatidly with your bow out(dont use bomb combo, they miss because they slow it down) - remeber therer is still another bird in the next area.

If you ever miss the bird or dont kill it, while going round in the circle just try take out the monsters with slash or spin attack.

haha i got stuck here for ages when i was completing it.....just kill the birds with the bow and they should exit through the gates

The birds carry bombs and drop them occasionally to turn the path of the moving carriage away from the exit. Thats why you seem to be going around in circles.
Use the bow and arrow to finish them off to proceed towards the exit. Goodluck.
