TopWare Interactive has today announced that it will be reviving the fantasy action/adventure franchise Enclave on the Nintendo Wii. The first Enclave game to appear on the Wii will be an adaptation of the 2003 PC and Xbox release. Fans of the series will find many familiar elements in the Wii version of the game, along with lots of brand new features, including an updated save system, which enables players to bookmark their progress at any time, and an interactive tutorial to get new players up to speed on the gameplay as quickly as possible. Both of the “light” and “dark” storylines are unlocked from the outset, providing 27 different and completely new balanced levels for players to experience right off the bat.
The storyline centres around Celenham, the Enclave of Light, which has been created by a lone mage following the victory of Vatar, the Prince of Darkness. Hundreds of years since the creation of the Enclave, the forces of darkness from the shadow world are attacking the Enclave in even greater numbers. The choice that the player faces in the game is whether to lead the embattled populace of Celenheim into battle against the creatures of darkness and save the Enclave, or to ally themselves with the shadow hordes of the Outlands and attack the Enclave. All sounds very intriguing, I must say! The game’s release date for the Wii is still TBA.
