email messaging

not sure where to put this, but I have my options set to recieve instant email notifications when I am subscribed to a thread and when I recieve private messages here but it doesn't work...any ideas why?

Wish I could help but I never ran into this problem before. Try checking your settings again and remember to save them.

I am the oposite. I get emails from EVERY thread i have posted something in, like 30 of them and I don't know how to stop it. Ive gone into the subscribes posts or whatever section and you can tick or untick the boxes next to the topics but thats it i don't know how to unsubscibe, i cant see anything for it.
