Does Wii Have The Guts For 18+ Games

all i know is you use the wii mote as a strap on i don't even know what the game was called it was on kotaku or some other site like that.

i really dont see the point in 18+ games.
GTA is fun to a degree, but it's not THAT great that I would buy a console just for it.
I dont care that there is no blood, swearing or nudity in Zelda, or Mario, or anything like that. Does it take away from the game? Absolutely not.
If i want blood i'll hire an action/horror movie.
If i want swearing, i'll go get pissed with my mates, plenty of swearing happens there.
If I want nudity i'll get some porn.
I just don't see whats so good about 18+ games, that's all.

it's not the point of making it FOR the console.. it's just if it were there, then it'd be a plus!

Thats just stupid. where not talking about watching blood for movies or actually swearing we're talking about killing somone for thrills then swearing at the life-less corpse! You cant do that with a movie, all you can do with a movie is watch somone else do it. Its boring to watch somone else play video games isnt it

Wii is up to the task in graphics for any type of game. They worked fine on PS2 they will work fine on the wii. Just seen scarface for PS2 over the weekend and that is one 18+ game I wouldnt mind getting. More for the story line than the gore, but there is plenty of blood to be had.

It is really just a matter of carrying games from the good game producers.

Well to be fair we do have cod3, red steel and far cry here or at least on the way. All are violent and to an extent pretty good, dunno about far cry will probably be average but 3/4 of gory games that come out are total **** so thats not really an issue.

Id rather have something with an entertaining story. Half life 1 and 2 werent that heavy on the gore but I enjoyed them far more than any other game Ive played, I actually wanted to see where it went rather than get bored of gory deaths. If my comp could handle the newer half life episodes id have them but sadly it cant.

I also wouldnt mind seeing a fahreneit esque game.

I don't see why everyone relates gore to 18+ and therefore, good. I think that the call for more blood just reinforces the idea that 18-25 year olds are immature and can only find pleasure in lots of blood and sex in their games. Not good gameplay.

I never said that GTA is crap, just by the way.

My point is that it feels as if the only people that want 18+ games are those that are below the age of 18. Kids whose parents won't let them watch movies with blood in them... kids who will get detention if they swear and kids who will probably never see a naked woman.
If your over the age of 18 and u still get a kick out of games with sex, blood and swearing in them, u need to go out and get urself a life.
Don't get me wrong, some of them are fun to play (like GTA), but it wouldn't even phase me if they didn't bring one out on the Wii at all.

You don't need an insane system just for blood. We've had bloody games around for a LONG time, what would make the Wii so special that it can't be gore-filled?

Take God of War for the PS2, that was a pretty gory game, and the Wii is quite a bit more powerful than that
