It comes with a pair, but you'd best buy Nimh batteries and a charger right away and begin charging because with a 30 hour battery life, you'll need to replace them on day 2.:smilewinkgrin:

one day i bought batteries for my cd player (like 4 yrs ago) and they did before 1 song was over (less than 3 mins) :lol: :lol: :lol:
