checking what software version you have on your wii?

How do you check what software version you got on your wii? i.e 3.0 and such.
also: is it possible to update your wii without having the wii connected to internet?

In order to check simply follow these instruction

1. go onto the wii icon at bottom left of wii menu
2. go into console settings
3. look in the top right corner of the screen
4. Read

and no its currently not possible to update without internet, and there is no confirmation that updates will ever be released onto cd
