Hey, I am getting a Wii, and I was wondering if they play CD's or not, I was just wanting to know so that if they don't and I put one in there, I don't want to mess up the Wii or the CD :tard:

Oh, its just that Im not used to people replying to them so fast, on every other website like myspace and beo, it takes forever for them to even show up lol

Yeah, I tried putting in a burned CD and it gave me an error and I actually had to unplug my Wii from the wall to get the error to go away. Hopefully they'll make it possible in the future, although personally, I probably wouldn't use the function.

Have you tried a store bought CD, it may just not read burnt CD's,

Just tried one about an hour ago and it didn't give me an error screen. When I went to the Disc Channel, it said something like "can't read this disc. check user manual." I just pressed eject and it didn't make me unplug my Wii and all.

i think nintendo will release a "DVD channel" or a "CD channel" for sale online. i think that would make good use of the channel feature

im pretty sure they're making an attachment to play cd's and dvd.i mean how else would they keep up with xbox 360 and play station 3.
