Out of curiosity, I bought a 2000 points card from Best Buy and they charged me tax, which I thought was crap because I was buying currency with currency, but oh well. Sucks when I can buy 2000 points at a time through my Wii/check card for $20 even and never have to stand behind their roped off lines.

yup. i was gona buy it at best buy too then realized it was cheaper from my couch
just need credit or debit card to do it.

Actually, when I purchased points from the Shop channel, with my credit card, they still charged me tax. It was based on the state where the card is addressed, obviously. So, the no tax rumor is a lie. The only way to get a sweet deal on Wii points is to wait on accessory specials at Toys r us or something.
