I'm pretty sure you could do it, the only hard part is the resistance, but of you can't, you can get a pre-made one like this one http://www.wirelesssensorbar.com/ (i'm guessing this is what you are looking for?)

thats a pretty good deal, considering a new wired one from nintendo is $10... it looks good aesthetically too.
